I am a Clinical Psychologist specializing in individual therapy, eating disorders, and attachment issues, and maintain a private practice in San Francisco, CA and Kentfield, CA.
With over 20 years experience as a psychologist and as a graduate of Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, I am currently working as a private practitioner and see a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, compulsive eating, disordered eating, and body image issues, as well as depression, anxiety, loneliness, relationship concerns, insecurity issues, and attachment wounds.
I am a warm, responsive, and interactive therapist. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and individually tailored to each client. With eating disorder clients I often work as part of a team with nutritionists, doctors, psychiatrists and group therapists, based on clients’ needs. I utilize a non-diet approach to address the eating disorder symptoms and behaviors, with attention on understanding and transforming the underlying issues, in order to achieve stable changes. Additionally, a key aspect of my approach to therapy with all clients,is the special attention I pay to the relationship and what is arising in the room with my clients. Through tracking and exploring particular moments in therapy, a client’s experience in the room is uncovered and made explicit. These experiences so often mirror what clients experience in their lives, and through examination of these moments, deep growth and transformation occurs.
